/ Yesterday into the wee hours of the morning was a series of QAnon interpretations, prayers and hopefulness that all of the past 4 years will have come to fruition https://twitter.com/_MAArgentino/status/1351514405926817793
/ The main narrative I was waking up to in QAnon was that noon was when everything was going down. Why? because they believe that the military and joint Chiefs of staff "know" that Biden will be "illegally sworn in". At that point the military does not need to obey Biden, Why?
/ QAnon influencers argued that the military swears their oath to the constitution and not the president. therefore at noon they expected that the military would have independent authority to take "certain actions" in the absence of a legal president.
/ Mixed within this certainty that the military would take action, influencers pushed decodes that confirmed the storm was coming. The past 48hrs watching QAnon was the observation of an entire community getting high on hope.... a high from which they are currently coming down.
/ They were also preparing for failure by promoting narratives that no matter what happens, even if things appear to not be going the way of QAnon that is was all about optics, its part of the movie they are all watching, so "hold the line" and be steadfast was the rallying cry.
/ Qvangelicals were ready for anything, and these will likely be some of the more resilient in the QAnon community as they are more familiar with the failure of prophecies and that they fail because of human errors in interpreting gods will.
/ One of the better takes of the day by one QAnon influencer claiming around 0930 that Biden is part of the QAnon plan all alongto bring about he storm because if he starts it, BLIM/ANTIFA/Libs will accept it and not riot when patriots win.
/ This was rapidly shared by other QAnon influencers, who also rapidly regretted it based on the backlash from the community. But it really shows how influencers were reeling this morning and trying to find any type of explainer for things to come.
/ These two posts happened 30 minutes apart right before the inauguration, where the chats went from THE STORM IS HERE EN JOY THE SHOW to Ok lets paus chat and take a breather because of all the doomers in chat
/ At noon the influencers pushed a flurry of messages of: "We are here to share the news & truth based on our research", "If Q was a deep state psyop why would they have 75M ppl vote for Trump makes no sense", to "Hold the line military is on the way & Trump gets 4 more years"
/ Influencers also tried to calm down the community by reminding them of all the great things they accomplished and that the information war was not lost .
/ Others are just pissed and using language closer to what is seen in the terrorgram communities. This one influencer is a likely candidate for leveraging his platform to call for violence.,
/ Qvangelicals after noon came and went said that "it is not lost until God says it's over." and told anons to " Put on the full ARMOR OF GOD so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Trump is now officially isolated, and optics are critical."
/ As of 1600 influencers put out a series of messages stating they are against calls for violence, those who make threats of call for violence will be banned. The irony is that is why they were banned from mainstream media and now they are doing the same to their followers
/ By 1630 I started to see some of the influencers begin to process the failure of Prophecy as @AmarAmarasingam and I had written about. This is a process that will be ongoing for a bit and will need to be monitored. https://religiondispatches.org/qanons-predictions-havent-come-true-so-how-does-the-movement-survive-the-failure-of-prophecy/
/ When the news broke of the Qresearch board being deleted form 8kun, this reinvigorated the community for a bit and direct their rage at at perpetrator. This deletion was short lived as Jim Watkins announced the boards are now restored.
/ by 1900 some influencers were releasing their regularly scheduled media products of the day. Some have been saying that things need to be done by the book and the coup needed to the completed before actions can be taken. "No one knows the future, but anons know how it ends."
/ The rank and file QAnon adherents were a mixed bag of emotions. This user explains why he likes Q: he revealed the truth about pedos, taught them patience and discipline. This user is willing to wait and see what happens and not give up just when things get hard.
/ this same sentiment is echoed by another user. Anons are having their patience te4sted, it is about their resilience and the fact they avoided a physical war. Now is a time to prove themselves to God. (not Q or Trump... how quickly this turns into Christian fervor)
/ Others are simply jumping straight to the apocalyptical, millenarial, prophecy sphere. Basically like in biblical apocalypses it only appears that Trump is abandoning them, so that the anti-Christ will revel himself and take power in order to fulfill biblical prophecy
/ This example above demonstrates how many from the Christian right (Qvangelicals among them) perceive trump to be a Christ like messianic figure. All of these events are part of the fulfillment of the promised storm.
/ Others are just pissed and contemplating violence. Though this is very likely shitposting there is always a risk when there are calls to buy arms, when anger is directed at the military whom QAnon had blind faith in.
/ Most however, are calling out he QAnon adherents who are panicking and flaking out . Most are ready and willing to wait either because they have blind faith and trust in Trump
/ Or they have blind faith in the fact that this is all part of God's plan. A common trope in Qvangelicals is what if the apostles had not waited 72hrs. Now is the 72hrs for QAnon. (i would think most do not think this to be a literal 72 hours but a metaphorical waiting period)
/ It is important to note that QAnon adherents are in a vulnerable position in light of their reality hitting a brick wall. As a result of the deplatforming that took place after Jan 6 Qanon now occupy spaces parallel to terrorgram who are relishing what happened to QAnon
/ I had discussed how the shift of QAnon and MAGA supporters to other platforms was a topic being discussed by DVE actors, specifically on how they can approach these individuals and recruit them into their movements.
/ Some of the key messages were that the loss of DJT and the impact it has on his based present an opportunity to pill the Trump base into a new political awakening as the realized the system is rigged and there is no political solution as the system wants to replace you.
/ One of the neo-nazi channels organized raids throughout the day into QAnon channels to "capitalize on their [QAnon] anger" and to radicalize them. Their goal was not to Pill QAnon into a war with the gov but to channel their anger towards the election & the Dems.
/ As part of fueling the anger of QAnon books by Mason, MacDonald and Taber (books that you don't want pissed off/depressed QAnon adherents reading) were being promoted to some.
/ Now I doubt these tactics will have a high success rate, however, the communities that QAnon influencers have built since Jan 6 have tens of thousands to a hundred plus thousand followers. That is a very large audience for the terrorgram crowd who are used to a few thousands
/ This means that even a very low success rate is a bad thing as this is not only happening in US based QAnon communitive, but also in international QAnon communities who are seeing recruitment efforts from terrorgram actors.
/ It is still very early in the realm of "what is next for QAnon". The community is going to be going through the stages of grief which will make them quite vulnerable. There is no way to predict what will happen in the next little bit but here are some intelligent GUESSES
/ A) A part of QAnon will stay, remain and harden into a strong core of dedicated believers who will think the deep state is in control and they need to double their efforts in the information war, therefore creating a continuous pool of propaganda and conspiracy theories;
/ B) small and very unlikely minority may see that the information war is loss, and QAnon’s efforts were not enough and something ideological will lead them to believe that there is no political solution and ideological motivated violence is the only option;
/ C) QAnon believers who are disenfranchised with the movement and the lack of results from ‘Q’/Trump, will become a potential pool to recruit from for more extreme movements and groups;
/ D) With an existing group of QVangelicals and QAnon home congregations, there is a chance that a segments of QAnon adherents may form/continue to grow as new religious movements;
/ E) there is a chance that the psychological and emotional impact of this may lead some individuals to commit acts of self harm.
/ The one thing I am sure about is QAnon as a whole may change, it will likely metastasize, it will likely balkanize, and QAnon adherents no matter what they become will liekly remain a threat until they can exit the QAnon space.
/ Even without QAnon, without 'Q', without Trump. the core elements that lead these individuals to believe in QAnon will still remain and they will need to find outlets for their conspiratorial mindsets and their anti-democratic ideals. END/
