On Inauguration Day, I'd like to share a story. That's me in the picture with President @JoeBiden. In this frame, I was a local news reporter in Wilmington, Delaware. #Inauguration2021

We were at the funeral services of Father Roberto in Wilmington's Little Italy neighborhood. Father Roberto was a really special person, loved by so many. An immigrant from Italy. A man who built his parish from the ground up.
Biden was Vice President when Father Roberto died. They knew each other when they were community leaders in Delaware. Biden came, unannounced, to Father Roberto's service along with his son, the late Beau Biden. (We didn't know yet that Beau had cancer.)
There was a line to get in the door. Father Roberto died hours before turning 100. The Biden men, with the secret service, could have walked right in the church. People waved them in.
But, instead, the Biden men insisted on going to the back of the line. They stood there, waiting to get into the church, like everyone else.
