OK so Madison Cawthorn is a POS and I can't stand him, but as someone who has a spinal cord condition & trouble controlling a pen: F this ableism. https://twitter.com/alex_abads/status/1351976932405960704
Side note: my book-in-progress very much involves forgeries & handwriting & that work has been made VERY HARD as my condition progresses (it was never easy for me to control a pen, not by a long shot, but it got harder).
Let me tell you what happened when I talked to handwriting experts of various types for my research: some graphologists (I also spoke to forensic document examiners, but they are different) called my signature "invalid."
Because of traits directly related to my disabilities.

INVALID
Think about that word for a moment. Its history and connotations.

I explained I have a spinal cord condition (and some other contributing conditions). Didn't matter. It was like ... my handwriting didn't and even *shouldn't* exist.
And I think about that a lot.

Criticize assholes for the asshole things they do ... and maybe think about how someone who is paralyzed might have some challenges signing a document.
Please don't say "Well he didn't mean disabled people."
The tweet is literally about a disabled person (an asshole insurrectionist disabled person, but still, a disabled person) and also abled people are not default humans.
