1/14 Let's *actually* set the record straight.

How about we get a real timeline of what Larry's office did and didn't do?

tl;dr: @DA_LarryKrasner/ @philadao never appealed the decisions that led to Davis L. Josephus' release and the tragic murder of Milan Loncar. https://twitter.com/DA_LarryKrasner/status/1352012675996413952
2/14 Josephus was arrested in February after allegedly kidnapping and robbing an Uber driver. While in jail, he was charged with the aggravated assault of a correctional officer.
3/14 Josephus had an extensive criminal record prior to the shooting. He was jailed for a robbery in 2019, according to court records. In January 2020, he took a plea deal that came with two years of supervised release.
4/14 While Davis was in jail, he was charged with two other crimes, an old carjacking and kidnapping from 2019 and an assault while he was in prison and serving his sentence.
5/14 For the kidnapping case, Josephus was held on $100,000 bail. Court records show that on more than a half dozen occasions, Josephus was scheduled for a preliminary hearing but they were all continued.
6/14 Some were postponed due to the pandemic while another was delayed because Davis hadn’t been taken from jail. Another was continued because Krasner’s office didn’t have a witness needed for the case.
7/14 In Oct, a Phila Municipal Court judge agreed to lower Josephus' bail in the assault case from $200k to $12k, and, on Dec. 23, a judge approved a motion reducing his bail from $100k to $20k in the kidnapping case.

Josephus posted 10% of the total amount; released Dec. 29.
8/14 Sunday night, Larry Krasner said his office opposed the bail reductions before the judges, yet the bail was cut “over our objections.”🤔🤔🤔
12/14 So here we are. An innocent 25-year old is dead.

Larry is complaining—during an election year—about being held accountable in the court of public opinion for failing to appeal a reduction to bail that ultimately led to Davis Josephus' release...and Milan Loncar's murder.
13/14 Larry has blood on his hands, and his press team is tripping over themselves to cover up his office's role in failing to keep Josephus where he belonged: behind bars. #JusticeforMilanLoncar
14/14 These revelations came after a LOT of questions from reporters and the public.

😞How many times in the past have the @philadao and @DA_LarryKrasner fooled the press and the public on cases that received less scrutiny? #philly
