Here are my thoughts. I'm not going to come on here & blame Frank Lampard. You know my thoughts on him. This isn't about Frank the player or any of that. This is about the players which are allegedly of a high quality, simply not putting it in on the pitch. 1/12

So where do I start? Let's start with everyone's favourite subject Frank Lampard's job security. Let me break this all down:
1 - Frank was hired by our board in the full knowledge that he was inexperienced. He was hired on a 3 year plan to build his squad & bring youth in 2/12

2 - A lot is said about his lack of tactics or 'system'. Systems are a myth. Did Di Matteo have a rigid system when we won the champions league? No. Did Jose? No. Did Ancelotti? No. They changed things in order to win games which Frank certainly tries, both last season & now 3/12

3 - Mason Mount. The reason I mention him is that since his introduction last season he has given everything to Chelsea on the pitch. Not only that but his game improves all the time. He, with others is proof Frank is developing players & has a clear plan for us. 4/12

4 - People say Frank came because of his ego. How wrong they are. The job was offered to many managers in 2019. Not one wanted it. Some of those managers are the ones in the frame now. they wanted their players, had no interest in youth & only want the job to boost their ego 5/12

5 - Tell me Roman's dream? To have a self sustainable club, winning trophies BUT to have a clear pathway for youth players into the 1st team. Frank is the 1st manager to provide that. That's why he was hired. No other manager is going to offer this in the same way. 6/12

6 - Maybe 'INSERT MANAGER HERE' comes in mid season in a pandemic with a bloated squad of somebody else's players & gets us results. Then in the summer bring in some of their own, likely get rid of many existing potential spine players to get sacked again after a season 7/12

7 - FA Cup. For me we have a very real chance of going all the way this year. I know last year we didn't quite make it over the line. Winning the FA cup under Frank would be the most special experience. I think we can do it. We have to believe it though. 8/12

8 - Champions league. It is unlikely we win it. But we have been here before as a club. We got the toughest opponent we could get. A real test. We have beat them before, not only that but under Frank we have pulled out some fantastic performances in the CL. 9/12

9 - Luck. When things aren't going your way you don't get decisions. Other teams that are winning are getting things their way. We aren't. How many games this season have we had penalties not given, goals ruled out, marginal offside calls which could change the big picture. 10/12

10 - Confidence, belief & fight. Confidence is on the floor right now. I recall West Brom this season, we were losing 3-0. We came back to get a draw & actually could have won 4-3. That fight is in the team but its missing right now. The ingredients are there. 11/12

I could go on all night but I won't. I am worried that Lampard may be the scapegoat as these rumours don't come from nowhere but would like to believe that he is given time to turn this around. WE WILL come out of this. I'm backing Frank & I'm backing Chelsea always. #CFC 12/12
