First Biden daily press briefing is streaming now, I guess, if you're into that sort of thing (at this second they're just showing everyone filing into the room) https://www.c-span.org/video/?508148-1/white-house-press-secretary-jen-psaki-holds-briefing
Her standalone statement was just an overview of today's EOs.

First question was fluff.
Second question is which world leaders Biden will be calling, whether he'll be calling Putin and whether he'll be asking about Solarwinds. Answer was that his first call is with Trudeau on Friday and they'll be calling close allies first.
Third question is about the "left on the desk" letter from Trump and whether Biden will be doing a phone call with Trump. She says she won't discuss content but that it was "gracious and generous" (if I heard right?), which I take to mean Trump did not write it
Fourth question is how to combat disinformation. She replies with mostly fluff but does mention there are going to be regular public briefings from the COVID team.

Fifth question is about cabinet confirmation timeline. She replies with fluff.
Sixth question is how directly Biden will be interfacing with Congress on getting his COVID bill passed. Answer is basically "he'll be doing that". I think this reporter was fishing for a pull quote. She probably got it
Question 7 was a pointed and detailed question about whether Republicans will actually let the COVID bill pass and whether they'll be resorting to budget reconciliation. The press sec does not really answer.
Question 8 is also about Republicans and the COVID bill, specifically asking about the price tag. Press sec responds with some pretty good selling of the bill and justifying its price tag. Fuck yeah democrats folks should post a video of that answer or something.
Question 9 is about the oil leases on the wildlife refuge. This was a pretty good question and she gave a detailed answer which I completely missed because Christine unlocked something really cool in Hollow Knight at that exact moment.
Question 10 was about COVID safety measures for White House staff, she basically says "talk to the GSA" and then rambles for a while.
Question 11 was a very specific question about relations with Brazil and whether Biden will be pressuring Brazil on climate change. She gives a fuzzy, general answer about climate change but does say something interesting referring to climate change as "one of the Four Crises"
Question 12 is about Iran and the JPCOA. She says something fuzzy about wanting to bring back the deal if Iran resumes compilance.
Question 13 is fluff about how Biden feels coming back to the White House. Press Sec says "he says he felt like he was coming home" which I found chilling
Question 14 "if Biden wants Unity, shouldn't Pelosi and Schumer drop the impeachment trial?". Walked into that one, huh. Press sec answers with fluff. "[Biden's] view is the way to bring the country together is to address the problems we're facing" That's not bad.
Question 15 "Will Biden be filing for re-election as early as Trump did" No.

Question 16 Has Biden planned his first biden trip? She literally says "we're 7 hours in" and says there are no plans.
Question 17 "Global Catholic Network" does some pro-life politicking, specifically asks about the Hyde Amendment and the Mexico City Policy. She says she'll be talking more about the Mexico City Policy (sounds promising) and brags about what a devout Catholic that Biden is.
Question 18 is about COVID and the Defense Production Act, she says she'll have more to say about that tomorrow. Also sounded promising.
Question 19: Biden keeps talking about Unity, what specific acts will be be doing toward that end? These questions seem to indicate talking about Unity was a own goal. The press sec's answer is that Biden is a very optimistic person and he has made phone calls with Republicans.
Question 20: "Will we be seeing a death penalty moratorium?" She says Biden opposes the death penalty but has no specific news, says she'll follow up with that reporter.

Question 21: "Will he be keeping Trump's Air Force One color scheme change?" "That is such a good question!"
Question 22: Should Trump be held accountable, should he be barred from future office? She says Biden is leaving that question completely to Congress.
Question 23: Is the president being updated on the progress of the FBI investigation (on the Jan 6 attack)? Does Biden have confidence in Wray? She has no news on that and hasn't asked Biden about it, says she'll follow up with that reporter.
Question 24: Why didn't Biden mention Trump in his inaugural address? Press sec responds with fluff (what the heck kind of question is that?).
Question 25: What is Biden doing to rebuild the USA's image? "Our first priority is rebuilding partnerships and alliances" blah blah obvious things, mentions rejoining the Paris agreement.

Conference ends. "Let's do this again tomorrow". I will not be doing this tomorrow.
