The Right, as presently constituted, has major structural obstructions to achieving lasting power in the US. For a couple big reasons:

...at least gaining some political power as a persistent and lasting bloc to force putting your wants on the agenda. Not just some temporary movement that falls apart after the Chief that started it leaves the scene.
