I think parts of the reason why I go off about shadow so much the way I do is bc I rarely see anyone try to look into what he does. It's mostly just what they see with him on the surface & then being completely unhappy with it. so I like to remind others that, there's more to him

I don't fully need to do that with the rest of the cast bc, nobody really has an issue with them. or at least nobody really talks about it.

I do have pretty much have an analyzation for each character tho and how they may be different from this one and that one. I care about a lot of these characters and I love to focus on pretty much, every little different detail with them.

this could also be the same for sonadow, I often see a take that mentions the two hate each other. (personal portrayals aside) when in reality there's been quite a few hints in the canon that tell you that really isn't the case. their dynamic is just more muddled instead.

tho I understand it could be unclear from sonic's pov to tell at times, shadow's actions will often tell me otherwise. & sonic may realize that sometimes too. maybe he's still uncertain sometimes, but there's always SOMETHING there that feels like, he won't think that completely.

and I say sonadow but right now I'm just talking about their genuine, canon dynamic.

personally, I don't want sonic & shadow to have the same dynamic as sonic & knuckles. shadow & knuckles are similar, but they are also very different and I love that about them. more so when it comes to their relationship with sonic. I like both dynamics having their differences.

sonic & knuckles' relationship is a bit more in the open, especially amongst friends (and with each other) in terms of friendship and rivalry. there is still some things in the intimate field they won't admit, but their care for each other is on the surface.

sonic & shadow's is more secret. it's mysterious/ambiguous in the intimate field. a line they won't cross. however their rivalry is v open, so many think the two don't like each other/just here to challenge each other. when it could be a lil deeper than that, bc of their actions.

while it fills me with joy to see them develop more personally in some ways, I still like their dynamic being different than sonic & knuckles'.
