One of the things I remember from Burnout by @emilynagoski and Amelia (can’t find her on Twitter, sorry) is that after stressful events, you should do something to tell you body the stress cycle has been completed and it’s time to move on.
Among other things that help tell your body that the stress cycle is complete: are exercise, kissing, laughing, breathing deeply.
There’s more in the book, but those are the ones I remember.

If you have the chance today, think about what you’re going to do to let go of the stress you’ve been carrying.
This is all the more important if you will still be carrying a lot of stress (as many of us will be).
