Plenty of students feel a lot of pressure, especially at the start of a term, to be "perfect".

But studying all day, every day isn't sustainable! ESPECIALLY not right now.

During times of crisis (okay—all the time), YOU, not your grades, should be your #1 priority.

So check in with yourself:

Are you eating and drinking enough?

How much have you slept?

When was the last time you connected with a friend?

What's driving you right now? Is it ambition, interest, energy... or shame?

But hey, easy for us to say, right? WE'RE not juggling 5 courses and a Master's app.

Well... Dang. That's fair. So what can be taken off your plate? How can your experience with school feature more support and less pressure?

Can your profs give extra help? Can your friends book a Zoom co-study? Can a librarian find that elusive book? Seeking support is key!

However, it's not all on you. It's HARD to take a break in a "productivity at all costs" world. Self-care only goes so far.

Whatever you've done amidst a huge change in school, social isolation, and a worldwide pandemic is AMAZING.

All the work you've done (and half-done), all the care you've shown yourself and your friends... even all the Netflix is worthy of pride.
