dream's backstory (from what i got at least lol): a thread

- he realised that by cutting everything out of his life that mattered to him, he wouldn't have any weaknesses
- during exile, he realised that he could still have people that listened to him (which he calls friends) by them fearing him
- he truly saw tommy as a friend + 2/6

despite that tommy hated him, he still listened to him and did things with him (even though he was powerless to do otherwise ahaha) 3/6
overall, much like many "evil" characters, he believes that love is weakness. but when tommy introduced attachment and friendship into the server, his views changed. dream has stated multiple times that he wants the server to be "one big happy family" and tommy introduced 4/6
this idea. however, dream has not yet realised that he can achieve "one big happy family" WITHOUT violence and manipulation because he has never experienced it before. nonetheless, he is learning about love and friendship, and tommy (ironically) taught the foundations + 5/6
of this. i think that tommy is the first time he's experienced friendship love in a long time and when he said that tommy was his friend, he truly meant it. that was the closest friend and longest he's ever had. he's just never been loved or appreciated... 6/6
