I really don't know how people think this Re:Zero episode was a satisfying and strong pay-off, to me this pretty much broke my ability to forgive the show, last episodes already feeling kinda awkward.
Garfiel having this really fast flashback for a moment at the beginning of the episode & then having a whole character arc in it by having other characters stand in front of us & preach about his character, only to give revelations about things we learned less than 5 minutes ago.
It's just not satisfying and very cheesy and artificial-feeling how this "talk no jutsu" is being done and make me emotional when I can barely understand what the characters are even saying or why, and then Subaru's new ability popping up, weird tonal whiplash just AAAAAAAAAAAAGH
This was really me watching the episode from beginning to end
