How much has the U.S. Chamber really changed on climate change?
Exhibit A - Priorities for 2021: “Bring lawsuits against federal, state, and local regulatory actions” including on energy and environment issues https://www.uschamber.com/sites/default/files/uscc_policyprioriteis_booklet_2020.pdf

Exhibit B - U.S. Chamber literally just supported the Trump EPA’s bogus climate rule & opposed the Clean Power Plan in court. They lost.
Here’s the Chamber’s name on a list of fossil fuel & utility industry supporters of Trump’s failed ACE Rule from that court case. The EPA would have started actually limiting GHG emissions from power plants years ago if it weren’t for lawsuits by bad apples like the Chamber.
The Chamber realized a while back that directly attacking climate science was a bad idea that just spurred people who like science to take action, and companies that like science to leave the Chamber https://www.energyandpolicy.org/us-chamber-epa-climate-science-denial/
In sum, the Chamber was totally cool with Trump’s rollback of climate actions, but now that he’s gone they are trying to save face by saying nice things about climate to avoid accountability.
