Okay, let me break this down for you.

Those of us who aren’t Christians have seen how easily the right co-opted the language of the bible and Christianity into their fascistic philosophy and how easily conservative Christians went along with that.
Now a lot of Christians who are on the left are very loudly happy about the mouthpiece of imperialism quoting the bible and St. Augustine in his inauguration speech. And the happiness stems from the fact that it sounds nicer and less selfish than the last guy.
Which is certainly true. And I’m not equivocating Trump and Biden the way a lot of leftists are right now. What I am saying is that for those of us outside of your tradition, it is extremely unnerving to see how quickly you went from being critical of your faith being co-opted
in politics to being cool with it because the language is softer. Historically, those of us outside of your tradition do not fare well against the intermingling of Christianity and empire.
I wish I could show you the texts I’m getting from Jewish and Muslim and agnostic folks who are bewildered by how quickly our friends pivoted to Christian triumphalism.
