"Mods why isn't Biden arrested yet? :'C" https://twitter.com/thetomzone/status/1351939144176570370
So hey, awful story time.

In 1983, Korean Air Lines Flight 007 was shot down by the Soviet Air Force. (It had drifted into Soviet airspace due to a navigational error, you can find YT documentaries if you want more details.) It killed all 269 people aboard.
The Soviets didn't know what it was, and it had flown over the Kamchatka Peninsula without acknowledging demands to identify itself, and, y'know, Cold War.

A guy named Gennadiy Osipovich was the pilot of the interceptor that downed the plane.
And Gennadiy was interviewed, repeatedly, after the tragedy, for years. By all sorts of people. And they would ask him how he felt, knowing he had mistakenly killed nearly 270 innocent people, all civilians.

His answer was: No, it wasn't a civilian aircraft. Righteous shoot.
And people would say, Major Osipovich, it was clearly a commercial aircraft.

No, he'd reply, it was military. Disguised. That's easy to do.

Those people were real, though, and now they're dead.

Planted evidence.

It was an international incident!

Cover story.
No matter the evidence, no matter the presentation, nothing, NOTHING would make Gennadiy Osipovich believe he had accidentally shot 269 people out of the sky. He would not accept it. Ever.

And he died in 2015, sticking to his Secret American Spycraft Full of Fake Luggage story.
And this is a known psychological phenomenon. It's a self-protective measure. Because if Gennadiy had accepted the truth? How was he supposed to live with that. That magnitude of error. Haunted by 269 ghosts.
So hey, what I'm saying is this: If you've lost friends and family to the Q Cult? Sorry, but don't expect any reality shock, including 4-to-8 years of a Biden presidency, to snap them out of it. That's not how it works.
No, they didn't murder a planeload of innocent people for Q, but they've probably lost friends, family, and opportunities. Permanently ruined platonic and romantic relationships. Maybe been divorced, estranged, kicked out.
The point is, they've probably given up SOMETHING to follow Q. And dropping it now would severely compromise who and what they think of themselves as.

Any recovery is going to happen internally. Or not at all.
Frustratingly, there's actually evidence that presenting conspiracy theorists with rock-solid evidence that their beliefs are wrong.... strengthens their beliefs. It's called The Backfire Effect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belief_perseverance
