I don't support Critical Race Theory (CRT) because (1) it needs to redefine terms to suit its agenda and (2) it presumes their premises to be true without evidence.

A thread.
A perfect example of redefining terms is with White supremacy, which is redefined to extend to to how systems and institutions are structured to uphold white dominance.
The true dictionary definition of White supremacy is: "the belief that white people constitute a superior race and should therefore dominate society, typically to the exclusion or detriment of other racial and ethnic groups, in particular black or Jewish people."
Even if Western culture is Eurocentric, that's not White supremacy. We don't claim that upholding cultural norms in Africa or Asia are Black supremacy or Asian supremacy, and the same logic needs to apply to Eurocentric cultural norms.
This brings us to point #2. CRT presumes that racism exists everywhere and that we shouldn't ask whether it exists, but instead ask how it is expressing itself. We can see this in the unfounded assumption that society upholds white dominance rather than just being cultural.
Similarly, proponents of CRT believe that someone cannot be "not racist" and can exist only as "racist" or "anti-racist". It's a false dichotomy based on a pseudo-reality unsupported with empirical evidence.
The definition of racism is "the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another."
Ironically, being "anti-racist" is itself racist because it operates from the belief that White people are inherently more powerful than people of color. Asians are exempt, of course, because CRT posits that they aren't people of color.
Proponents of CRT have stated that Asians outperform all other groups academically not because they are generally industrious, have intact families, and high academic aspiration, but instead because they are "White adjacent" and benefit from White privilege.
In short, CRT seems to gaslight reality and emotionally abuse White people through rewriting reality, blaming, shaming, and crossing boundaries, among other abuse tactics. It's an incredibly racist paradigm that masquerades around as "anti-racist".
