Today's @ProfileRead features @KrisJenner, who has long been credited for being the mastermind behind the Kardashian-Jenner empire.

Before you are quick to dismiss her & her family as "famous for being famous," take a moment to read this Dossier and decide for yourself.

At 17 years old, Kris met Robert Kardashian, a successful attorney who was 11 years her senior.

She initially turned down his advances because she wanted to see the world, spending a year as a flight attendant for American Airlines.

They re-united & she married him at age 22.
Eight years later, Kris realized she was a rich housewife with four kids. It was a comfortable life, she says, but she was bored.

She had an affair, Robert found out, and they went through an ugly divorce in which he canceled her credit cards and left her broke and alone.
Shortly thereafter, she met then-Bruce Jenner on a blind date & married him a month after her divorce was finalized.

She became Bruce's agent, putting together press kits and contacting speakers' bureaus.

With her help, Bruce's speaking business about his Olympic career boomed
The family landed their TV show in 2007.

The same year as the launch, a former boyfriend of Kim's leaked a sex tape, and it fueled the notoriety around the show.

“As a parent, Kris Jenner was concerned for her daughter. But as her manager, she thought, well, hot-diggity.”
Even though the tape was a personal crisis, it also sparked more curiosity about the new show.

"My job is to take my family's 15 minutes of fame and turn it into 30," Kris famously said.

In the last 14 years, Jenner has turned each of her children into bonafide entrepreneurs
Best known as the family's "momager" (a cross between "mom" and "manager" that she trademarked), Kris manages the careers of her six kids.

Oh, and she takes a 10% cut from each of their earnings.
