Patrons and neighbors of @cometpingpong DANCED AWAY a group of Q-Anon protesters last night to the tune of Lady Gaga's "Perfect Illusion." Here's a closer look at the incredible moment:
This local resident showed up to help drive off the conspiracy theorists. "I thought, you know what, I'm just not going to let them get away with this."
Leading the QAnon protest at Comet Ping Pong last night was Ruben Israel, a far-right Christian preacher from California who is known for hosting hate rallies around the U.S. that target LGBTQ people and Muslims.
I tried to ask Israel what he was hoping to achieve last night, and whether he actually believes in the Pizzagate conspiracy. He just kept telling me to "read the banners."
To give you an idea of how hateful this guy is, here's what he shouted before driving off in his van: "How come all those homos are killing each other with AIDS, and you're not saying anything?"
