on a more fundamental level, this language frames disabled people as objects of pity or charity, rather than as having rights. As a society, it shows the need to centre conversations about disability on disabled people, and to hear from more disabled voices. #SayTheWord (2/3)
As a final point, its really important to note that every issue is a disability rights issue, disability rights issues impact everyone. It's essential that society takes "Nothing about us, without us" to heart and include disabled people across every fabric of society. (3/3)
