As graduate school admission decisions are coming in soon, just remember that you only need ONE school to say yes. Mini thread.
I applied to schools in 2015 and ~2018, both times I only got accepted into ONE school. I remember on my first visit to my first school, the imposter syndrome started setting in when professors and other students would ask me what all schools I was seeing and it was just the 1.
Just candid info: I absolutely bombed the Physics GRE, I think I was like 1% or something lol, I had a 3.3 GPA from undergrad and like a 3.1 or something from my first PhD institution because I basically failed a class as I unknowingly progressing into a mental breakdown.
Advice: please don't get on grad cafe, that site just induces anxiety. Trust me it's not worth it.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what ACT/SAT score you got when you get your degree, it doesn't matter what GRE score you got, or how many schools you got into when you get your PhD. It's all just numbers and don't let it mess with you.
