I physically cannot use tools like this. it's information overload paralysis.
inclusive design is also designing for attention. this often gets overlooked as new features get tacked on, without ever revisiting the big picture.
I wonder if some kind of calculation can be created to calculate the visual complexity of a design. so it can can be kept under a certain number. like we do for text contrast ratios.
also the "flat design" style does not help with this. boxes and lines are there to create separation. when these are removed for trendy reasons it makes everything worse.
here's every piece of information and visual element. it actually makes it look a bit cleaner, but it gives an idea of the number of information points.
