This is another book that I bought for my dad that he didn't get to read.

The gift note, which is still inside, from March 31 2020 says, 'Here is an early present for your birthday. We know you really want it and we are in lockdown so thought you would appreciate it early!'
The book also has the bookmark inside the cover that Martha made for her grandad.

I am now reading it and it combines two of our great loves. Cricket and the Christian faith. It is an inspiring book, and once again it feels like I am reading it 'with dad'.
'I believe that there is a divine bias to the disadvantaged, and that the Church needs to be much more faithful in reflecting it.' (+David Sheppard)
'We cannot assume that both sides have equally valid positions. For the Church to hear the cry of the poor will mean losing its innocence on social and political matters...There will be occasions when we must get off the fence, and take sides.' (+David Sheppard)
