How do we keep high efficacy (effectiveness) of the current vaccines? STOP THE SPREADING. Particularly of the new variants. If they reach a minimal amount of the population, the current vaccines will be protect at a higher rate
As the spread continues, the virus will continue to have the chance at more infectious variants (via mutation). To limit the number of rounds of potential vaccinations, stop the spread now while the first round is still effective against the majority of the circulating virus
