no i will NOT shut up abt how easily everyone on the smp decided that smp!dream was the villain and left him

like FRICK man he's a bad person now but like? how many people did it take for him to get here??? how many times was he called a tyrant? called a villain? treated as the incarnation of satan, spit on, disrespected, ignored, yelled at, betrayed, left alone??

HOW MANY TIMES did someone abandon him? HOW MANY TIMES were his warnings ignored, how many times was he treated as an awful person when he was trying to look out for the people on HIS server, how many times did he have to be "evil" just for people to LISTEN?

he's a bad person!! i'll never try to say that he isn't a bad person, at this point in the lore! but you know he didnt start out as one!! you know he was pointed out as the "villain" bc he was the most convenient target! you know that NOBODY has ever tried to see his pov

before ditching him!! even george and sapnap, who were supposed to be loyal to him, repeatedly ignored his advice on "not taking sides" and "not causing problems", causing problems that DREAM had to go fix!!

you know spirit's leather?? the only thing he had left of the pet that he cared most abt?? you know WHY tommy had that? he had it bc dream GAVE it to tommy for GEORGE AND SAPNAP'S FISHES. he gave his MOST PRIZED POSSESSION to get THEIR fishes back !!!

"dream treated sapnap as a weapon" SAPNAP picked fights he couldnt win and then DREAM was the one that had to go in an deal with the consequences!! GEORGE was the one who got involved in a political election that had NOTHING to do with their country

and essentially tied dream's hands behind his back and made it hard for him to support pogtopia!! god smp!dream is a bad person but dont forget how long it took before he got there!! dont forget WHO called him a villain before he did ANYTHING to earn that title!!

i get so mad on the behalf of smp!dream sometimes even tho he's a bad person bc like ,, look at what he went through. hell barely anyone even hates him for the monster that he is. they hate him for the monster they THINK he is, for the monster they WANT him to be

look me in the eyes and tell me that ANYONE tried to help him. look me in the eyes and tell me that ANYONE actually bothered spending more than one (1) minute of their time treating him like a HUMAN BEING

the MOMENT smp!dream is shown an OUNCE of affection he stops acting evil. the MOMENT. im not talking abt the exile arc (im not touching that) but look at him with c!puffy - the minute someone talks to him like a PERSON, treats him with something other than fear and revulsion,

he goes from awful-person-that-doesnt-care-abt-other-people to an awkward duckling of a man that follows her around to kill mobs and chop trees. smp!dream distances himself from smp!punz at the point when punz is literally his ONLY ally and confidante

in order to protect smp!punz. he is willing to sacrifice his ability to like , talk to someone, have someone visibly on his side, hell is willing to give the other side an extremely powerful player JUST TO PROTECT one person he considers his friend

when the feeling, just based on today's punz stream, isnt even completely mutual.

smp!dream knows not to expect any loyalty from smp!techno, but backs up techno repeatedly. he gives him the woodland mansion map, saves him and carl, and backs him up both on doomsday and nov 16th

when theyre together he says stuff like "you know, i think im the only one that hasnt betrayed you" and "team chaos!". techno is very careful to keep their relationship distant and professional. smp!dream ,, isnt.

smp!sapnap and smp!george dont even TALK to smp!dream before they decide that tommy was telling the truth and dream is a terrible person that never cared abt them. meanwhile, smp!dream is paranoid abt protecting them from his enemies

to the point of isolating himself if it means his friends stay safe.

SMP!DREAM IS NOT A GOOD PERSON!! but dont tell me that he was an awful person from the beginning. dont tell me he hasnt suffered, dont tell me he doesnt have his own hurt

what if just ONE person bothered actually CARING for him, if ONE person didnt accept him as being "the villian" bc it was the easy way out, smp!dream wouldnt have ended up like this?? we wont ever know. bc nobody cares. and honestly ,, it feels like nobody ever did.
