My prediction is that if after Germany purged its SpecOps the Pentagon also purges US SpecOps, Poland and Baltics will have a long, hard look at NATO
The problem is elite troops and jet pilots can’t really be picked at random out of the general population for political conformity, so in the long term even if there is a lot of bad blood with the former occupiers, this isn’t Reagan’s NATO
I’m not saying it’s *likely* that these countries will realign to Russia for defense, I’m thinking that Russophobia is the only throttle on what the globohomo military-industrial complex would like to do to US military
US naval capacities already deteriorated a lot under Obama (there were like, subcon-tier vessel collisions in 2017) so the danger is greater wrt USN and China, but I don’t think losing a war w/ China or Pacific Rim diplo cred matters to Pelosi
