as promised, im here to give you some tips in buying your IT equipment. Sorry if uunahin ko na po ung pagbile ng laptop or computer. sunod ko po ung DIY Maintenance.

Since you know what are the types of laptop, next is question is what laptop is good for you.
there are factors that are being considered in buying your laptop. When my friends ask me about what laptop should they buy, I will always ask them these " Saan mo gagamitin? Is it for personal or work? What apps needed to be installed, Mag e-edit kaba ng videos or photos?"
Are you going to use it to watch film/netflix? How about numpad (heto po ung number keys usually nasa right ng keyboard) do you depend on it? After that QnA, they will blurrted out "yung mura lang ah" Based on their experiences with me, they had spent 40K for a laptop.
But never they complained about performance issue. At first you will say ang mahal naman for a laptop, but ask ko how much ba yung phone ninyo? naka Iphone X or planning to have a 12, or others naka Samsung Note, e how much ba yan compare to that?
Can your phone support your work needs especially in drafting and editing your reports, syempre sa laptop ka padin mag dedepend. So ano ba yung specifications na bagay? I always consider these main hardware components - the CPU / processor (i5/i7/i9)
- RAM or Memory
-Storage
lest start with the CPU
- as much as possible latest or at least not less than 2 generation. if gen10 is latest release(intel) go for at least gen8, because of the software versions and patches may affect its performance. if heavy in processing go for 8core if not 4core is OK
for the RAM
- for regular office user 8GB is ok, but if you are using some editing tools also you are a heavy user, means madami kang naka open na documents then ung browser mo napakadaming tab ba nakaopen then 16gb - 32gb will do. Pero if u are using autocad matic 32gb na
the Storage
- new laptops offer SSD, you will ask what is this thingy, SSD is a another storage, originated from Macbook. SSD is faster when in reading and writing data into your disk. unlike the typical HDD that has magnetic disk which is slower (7200RPM) kaya mejo mabagal
my tip is buy a laptop with SSD to optimize the performance. SSD will give you an advantage compare to your HDD. But SSD is expensive, so 512 SSD is ok and buy an external HDD for your files. you save your active files sa ssd and your non active or for archive files sa hdd
there 3 should be considered as they depends on each other, the processing, the writing and reading of data the memory to process all activities shall be considered. to have a better performance of your laptop based on your line of work.
for heavy graphics, you also need to check your video graphics card, usually nsa 2GB yan if again for autocad and other design you need 4gb video card. (check the requirements (recommended hardware) of the software you will install).
if your are an accountant or into finance na mas madami pang numbers yung input kesa sa letters, buy a laptop with numpad.

These are things to consider, well of course another is the cost, if di kaya maybe you can ask your seller to give you the laptop
that is suitable in terms of cost and requirements, but there are things to be sacrificed but you can adjust naman like, bawasan ung RAM or go for 1-2 gen of CPU, or wag na mag SSD HDD na lang. di nga lang sya ganun ka optomized but the performance is better naman.
also, try to close apps/docs that are not in use, these files u open then after you don't need them but still naka open parin sya, same with browsers, these eat the resources of your laptop ,the ram and cpu. might as well learn to close them to have a better performance
I hope this may help you in buying your laptop. Remember the CPU, RAM and Storage. Next naman po is DIY - maintenance of your laptop and basic troubleshooting.
