It’s been a good run, Magic friends, but this is now a 90’s Lego stan account.
I never got the big, expensive sets as a kid, but that didn’t stop me from daydreaming. I mean, look at how awesome this is.
I did have these though, and LOVED them.
The city sets were neat, but how do you compete with dragons or a pirate lair with a sliding skull?
I used to bring the catalog around to places, until it got dog-eared. I’d read all the descriptions, and imagine all the cool things I’d do with them if they were mine.
There were times where I’d look at the truly tiny sets, and think of the $5-10 in my piggy bank and think, “Man, I could get one of those!” I never did order from the catalogs, but rather hoped around the holidays.
Bandit’s Secret Hideout was my white whale. I always loved it, but was never lucky enough to get it. But now I can afford it, despite it being 20 years later, so it might just become a reality.
I love how someone decided that they wanted a grid across the sky for nearly everything in their product photos.
Thanks for joining me on this trip down memory lane. I realized after going through search results that I recognized nearly every set on there, despite owning only a few of the smaller ones.

90’s Legos were undefeated.
