Tomorrow, a Half Tamil Indian Female American is going to become Vice President of the United States.

I disagree with her on almost everything, but what an amazing accomplishment, and another example of what a great country we live in, nonetheless.
Just wonder what my grandfather would've thought. A Brahmin family with several educated daughters lived 5 min walking distance from his house in Adyar, Chennai (then Madras), and their granddaughter would rise to be VP of the USA.

Incredible. @KamalaHarris @mayaharris_
I mean, for a minority such as myself, I wish it was a conservative taking the office.

But such as it is, it is amazing to me how far we have come.

When my dad came to the US, Indians had problems using the same restrooms as whites in the South. Now...this.
I am sure, like with Obama, I will revel in the importance of the moment tomorrow.

And then, the next day, I will fight with or against them, depending on which policy I think benefits the country.

That is, after all, the American way.
