Hello, i just came to say I think that apprentice tattoo artists shouldn't be able to fully qualify unless they can prove that they can adapt their work over a multitude of skin tones.
I actually hate looking at an artists work and not being able to tell if i should book in, in the future because I'm not white.
Same with hairdressers - you should know the basics of how to care for and look after black hair before becomjng fully qualified

For example - if my mother (a white woman) wants her hsir done she has like 20 different salons in a 5 mile radius of her house that could do her hair.
If I want my hair doing professionally or want a certain servuce doing i have to be prepared to travel outside my city

The hairdresser tweet was supposed to say style* not care for. I'm a bit tipsy lol
GOD theres so many typos in this, sorry friends
And whilst we are at it, MUA'S too but I think MUA's do make a concious effort to try and work on different people when they are training ie: Young & old, POC & white etc.
But then they get their diploma and their portfolio after graduating is fully white, no old people, nada.
