There are many moments from the Trump presidency... but a post on Twitter just reminded me of one of my favorites: When he went to the national prayer breakfast & mocked Arnold Schwarzenegger's ratings & asked the crowd to "please pray for Arnold, if we can, for those ratings."
There was the time he asked the 7 yo boy if he believed in Santa and said he knew at 7, belief in Santa was "marginal." The time he told a man, whose property was destroyed by a hurricane and who had a washed boat up on his lawn, "at least you got a nice boat out of the deal."
The speech to the Boy Scouts that was not ... exactly PG and led the Boy Scouts to issue an unusual apology. The feast of fast food, complete with candelabra, to the Clemson team. The paper towel tosses. The "Winter is Coming" poster on the Cabinet room, but about sanctions...
The time they urged the crowd at the White House not to stare at the eclipse and gave protective glasses and he looked straight up. The time he debated with soldiers underneath the Mar-a-Lago gold ceiling the virtues of hydraulic vs. steam catapults on airplanes.
My final post: The first time I interviewed Trump, Hope Hicks escorted @politicoalex and I into Oval for an unscheduled "off the record hello." We didn't record or take notes. Midway through, Trump looks at us and says: "Can I go off the record?" We both knew we were screwed.
P.S. the NONSTOP jihads against windmills! The man does not like a windmill. Ok, i'm really done now.
