I'm on my schools fundraising committee. I've not met moms from other schools on such committees. And you want to know what's hard to swallow?
How some schools are fundraising for fancy Christmas Concerts and fun things like lego walls.

And my sons school and others are using parts of gifts cards to families in need. Literacy programs in place of EA's since we don't have many.
Our kids have dollar store bins for sensory toys. Other schools have entire rooms with bubble tubes and such.

How in public school systems is this happening? We have a duct taped in places playground.
Because we could fundraise for it and we are trying but other needs come up.

Could probably do so much more if schools weren't juggling all the extras. There is way too much pressure on some of these schools to be everything a family needs. Its not possible although I know those in the school would do everything for the kids.
Also... those who take their kids away and lie about their addresses to change schools... Thats messed. But hey one thing I'll say about our school... it's full of heart, amazing teachers and small class sizes.
