Eren or/and Zeke are gonna end the cycle of history- thread 🦧🦧
Love and Duty are the themes that Aot has the most emphasis on. And yet nobody rlly nailed both parts all the way. A failure in either of them leads to extension of the cycle of pain, hence it never ended. BUT
Yeager bros can be exceptions.
The way i see it is that you have to ace both love and sense of duty-Allowing the end of cycle🎊- , instead of just either one of them. That's where past gen has constantly screwed up. i'm listing their mistakes for a quick review
Kruger: 10/10 duty as restorationist, but idk if he ever had someone to love. Tho he makes sure grisha gets that; love->end of cycle.
Willy: Fulfilled his duty successfully, but left his beloved family behind knowingly.
Grisha in Marley: Great work as restorationist, but didn't love zeke to fullest. (Redemption after but not at the time)
Grisha in Paradis: Manages to love his family to the max, but bc of it, procrastinate the mission and gets shaky on restorationist plan.
Warriors don't exactly apply cuz they were brainwashed/forced to take extreme actions from the first place. SC is about ending the cycle but they don't even have specific plan for Eldia so despite their spirit it's hard to say they necessarily serve the same sense of duty.
Zeke, i think, can satisfy both love and duty. He has a complexed dynamic btween love and duty, first of all. Euthanasia tells alot about his view on love, given how children often epitomize love. But at the same time he wants to fulfill his duty out of love for Xaver.
Second, since 121 he's got deeper understanding in love, given an even further development in the sense of duty now to stop Eren. He will bring the end to both world's cursed history and Yeager's history, out of love for all Xaver, Grisha and maybe Eren.
And now Eren. His love directly connect to the motiv for duty; he starts rumbling BC he loves his friends, he let em free to fight BC he loves them. But his love and duty are now at opp ends and clashing each other. It's interesting bc he's technclly not defying duty nor love.
Given ereh=Grisha parallels and his opposition to euthanasia, it'd add even more meanings to his writing if he had a child. And this time, unlike Grisha's case, he will fulfill his duty while loving them to max at the same time, properly ending the cycle, and freeing children gen
The child can be adopted, or related, or maybe not even his own child idk but either way it would serve the same purpose for the narrative.

Ty for reading! it came out messy so read others' threads about Yeager bros but anyways hail to yeagers xD
