🚨 FILM SESSION #2 🚨
2021 RB prospect Jaret Patterson, Buffalo (MAC).
5'9" 195 lbs.

2020 stats (6 games):
1,072 rushing yards (IN 6 GAMES?!) (7.6 ypc)
19 rushing TDs
0 Receptions... hmm.

Let's look at this stat monster MACtion Hero.
Thread. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
First and foremost, the elephant in the room - it's very weird to me that he wasn't used in the passing game at all this year. In 2019, Patterson had 13 receptions for 209 yards... so what gives? Still trying to figure out why that happened.
Three years in a row of awesome production. On only 183 carries as a freshman, he topped 1,000 yards. In 2019, he had 1,799 rushing yards. Back to back 19 rushing TD seasons. Easily could have finished with similar yardage as 2019 if they had a full season this year.
The first game I'm going to watch was this year against Bowling Green. 31 carries, 301 yards, 4 TDs. What if I told you this wasn't even his best game of the season? Ridiculous.
We're going to ease into it. Firstly, after watching Javonte last night, the speed and level of play is very noticeably slower here in the MAC. That said, here's a nice decisive cut on his way to a TD.
Oh, hello wiggle. That is some serious maneuvering in a very small space.
So far I've seen a little bit of happy feet with Patterson that I don't love. I'll find an example. This, however, is good. See the hole, diagnose, and attack. Decisiveness is needed in the NFL.
