Here is an interesting story about how students get into Research projects ;D

At the beginning I joined a group of students which I found some lectures offered to be studied then an exam will define who will join Research projects.

Problem number #1 I study in a different university but my university has zero research projects that have a place for students so I have to travel 3 hours to the the other university.

Universities have security guards which is not allowed for other students to cross the gate so I had to fake an identity to go in

It sounds hilarious but even after I joined the group and started making experiments we don't have security clearance to pass the gate so getting in was our responsibility.

For me I go 2 or 3 times per week which it takes 3 hours to go and work for at least 4-5 hours then back in 3 hours
It takes a lot of energy too and we are not paid.

Unfortunately we don't have much choices to act upon but even getting into a research after being qualified is a hard thing and motivation plays a very important role.

We face difficulties but really telling them I am a master student and I am only a senior year student from another university to go there and learn is tough as they might stop me from going in.

All these fears vanish everyday I pass the gate and start checking on the rats groups.
Also taking a step further and doing experiments worth every second of traveling.

At the end I learn now as much as I can so at some point I can get enrolled into a PhD program for doing some useful research and not have to pretend to be a registered student to just go and learn.

Not to forget my colleagues who are graduated mostly females too they are managing their time at lab and work too.
so I am deeply proud of them.
