Yet another hot take, I know. But:

One thing I’ve seen online, in some kink spaces, is this idea that “online play/kink spaces are a waste of time” or “don’t waste your life looking at a phone, go out and enjoy your kink with REAL people.”
A nice idea at first.

However, not everyone’s socioeconomic position allows them to move freely in and out of kink spaces whenever they wish, and some might not have the luxury of living within an hour of multiple play partners, or possess the funds to travel.
I’ve seen this espoused a few times, and it’s just not a healthy way of looking at kink.

The ability the internet allows us to connect with each other and thrive in the vast expanse of the world and find community should be embraced, not scoffed at.
If you’d prefer to only meet in person, there’s nothing wrong with that. Go for it.

But don’t invalidate others dire need for connection online. Not everyone lives in a city or has access to other kinky people at all.
As someone who spent the majority of my life in a highly conservative area, the value that internet sex and kink has afforded me and my journey is immeasurable.

Honor other people’s journey, and you’ll be ok ❤️
