Listen, there's been a bit of a rift among the left, exposed by #ForceTheVote. Some of us don't want to hold progressives' feet to the fire because you LIKE them (identity politics), others have been very hard on progressives, calling them sell-outs...1/10
and frauds.

We MUST continue to call and write elected officials, EVEN WHEN THEY ARE PROGRESSIVES WHO WE LIKE. We HAVE to continue saying things like "If you don't fight for healthcare during a pandemic, that shows your true colors." That's the way...2/10
I talk to MY Congressperson.

This talk may not be pleasant to hear about someone you think is doing a good job, but it pushes them onward, which is what we've always said we were gonna do, right? I wouldn't call @aoc a fraud, but that kind of... 3/10
talk DOES serve a purpose, and we should appreciate those who do. It holds their feet to the fire, so they don't get Washington Head.

And if someone is that upset at an elected official, shouldn't we be listening to the reason why, instead of... 4/10
attacking that person? That's what we keep telling conservative Democrats to do for progressives: to listen to the reasons behind our outrage?

I really wish AOC had leveraged her Speaker vote for a floor vote on Medicare For All. I don't pretend to...5/10
understand why she didn't do that. But it's important to recognize that there are things about the ins and outs of being in Congress that we don't comprehend because we've never been Congresspeople. Maybe there's something we haven't been told... 6/10
about going on behind the scenes. I really don't know. But I don't believe for one second, after watching this 3 minute video of how @AOC spent her term, that she has in any way sold us out. And if you think she HAS, watch the video.

The reality...7/10
is that an effective Congressperson will work with people when they agree and against people when they don't. And whether you consider yourself a socialist, a leftist, a communist, a Green or a progressive Democrat, we should be working together on...8/10
almost all issues, and not calling each other names or accusing each other of working for the right. That kind of talk is just not grounded in reality at all. If someone's convinced you that a leftist is working for the right, question your.... 9/10
source. Please. We have more than enough division already.

PS If you see activists pushing for progressive policy, even if you "don't agree with the strategy", don't work AGAINST them!
