#MAGA, one day, if that day hasn’t come already, some or you are going to come to the sad conclusion that you’ve been lied to. By people you trusted.

Trump. His surrogates. Fox News. Newsmax. OAN. Hannity. Rush. Levin. Beck.

It’s gonna hurt. You’ve been betrayed.

When that day comes, you don’t have to tell us that you finally figured out that they took advantage of your trust of them. It’s not about “I told you so.” Just understand, when you figure that out, that you shouldn’t automatically trust people just because they’re on “your team”

People are motivated by different things. And a lot of people are not motivated by the right things.

Trump cares about himself and pretty much only about himself. He’ll say and do anything to get what he wants - your vote, your applause, your affection, your money.

Media personalities, even those who spend all day telling you how much they love America and the Constitution, are businesspeople. In a very competitive business. One where it literally pays to tell people what they want to hear.

Most of those media personalities are employees of major corporations. Owned and run by people who make strong suggestions about what on-air talent like them says. And when forced to pick between getting on board with Trump or paying the mortgage, they got on board.

And then there are your favorite politicians. Some of them watched intently as a few of their brave lone peers stood up to Trump. And lost their jobs. And they thought to themselves “I like my job.” Next thing you knew, they were donning MAGA caps.

People under pressure will say and do almost anything to survive. Including lie to us.

And then there are people like Trump who lie not just to get things but also just because he enjoys lying.

And his surrogates. Who, like others, lied to keep their jobs.

Lying, like every other sin which we commit habitually, erodes our consciences. People think “well ... it might be true ... maybe.” It becomes less and less of a big deal to do it.

And when the people start lying are people who are trusted by many others , the betrayal is great

And don't get me started on the preachers ...
