In combination with a repeal of SALT and federal aid, we need to raise revenue from the wealthiest in our state--the growing number of billionaires, the corporations, and the financial sector. #TaxtheRich 2/5
Tax those who can afford to pay and not by enacting a mobile sports betting system as advanced by the Governor, which will take money out of the pockets of the poor and middle class and increase opportunities for addiction. #TaxtheRich 3/5
Lastly, marijuana legalization is not simply a revenue raiser but a tool that must undo the injustices suffered by communities of color by ensuring that the majority of the revenue generated by legalization is reinvested in those harmed communities. #TaxtheRich 4/5
