ok here's a lil thread on some of my thoughts about bakugou (warning for possible cc hate, not from me)
1. he's an asshole. yuh. it's simple. it's 100% okay to not like a character who is written to be mean. however some people completely ignore canon and make him out to be worse than he truly is
2. most people who absolutely DESPISE him ignore canon. you're allowed to hate a character, but please don't ignore their growth and changes
3. it's... an anime. a lot of the slapstick angry bakugou humor isn't meant to be taken seriously and you can TELL when it isn't. (ex: bkgs swan dive comment was meant to be taken seriously. his slapstick *hits izuku on the head* actions are not meant to be taken seriously.)
4. he's an angry kid. he really is. is that an excuse for his past actions against izuku? no. but for the love of god stop acting so high and mighty?? i know damn well you were talking shit about your friends in middle school too
5. ^ to expand on that, bkgs bullying towards izuku is definitely a serious issue and one of the reasons izuku is who he is now. (not glorifying, just stating a fact.) bakugou has said and done TERRIBLE things and if you've read recent chapters from the manga - +
6. - bakugou so clearly regrets being such an angry aggressive kid. he does. he still has issues controlling his anger, but he is NOT the person he used to be. he is truly trying and he knows what he did was wrong and awful.
7. i feel like this needs to be re iterated: !!! bakugou is written to be a mean/asshole character !!! not ALL of his "mean moments" are meant to be taken as him being evil. like when he took denki behind a bush and made him do his 
thing, he did that to CHEER EVERYONE UP

8. it's slapstick. anime meanness. these are not valid examples to hate him. (note: some of them. we know which ones are meant to be taken seriously)
9. again, if you dislike him or his character, that is completely fine! the way he is written is not everyone's cup of tea + his past CAN make people uncomfortable. but for the love of god please stop ignoring his growth
