A lot of people have a problem with boycotts, referring to it as "cancel culture."
But, how did segregation aboard public transportation in Montgomery, Alabama end? Through boycotts.
How did Apartheid end in South Africa? Through sanctions - which is a form of boycott.

Not everybody is motivated to do the right thing just for the sake of it.
But everybody is motivated by something.
The whole point of peaceful protest is using legal and peaceful ways of motivating people to do the right thing. Like MLK, who everybody praised yesterday, did.

The reality is that people and organizations that don’t have an ethical objection to doing and supporting things that are wrong don’t often just suddenly develop them.

Sometimes they need to be reminded to do the morally and legally right things.
I remember reading a story that @LionelRichie told in an interview about his growing up years in Tuskegee, Alabama. In 1957, blacks in Tuskegee got tired of being denied their right to vote. Even though they were a large share of the population and the consumer market.
So they started traveling to shop elsewhere. Out of town. And, eventually, over a course of years, their absence from the marketplace, along with legal cases, led to changes.
Turns out that stores liked staying in business even more than they liked segregation.

Using the tools of the law and the marketplace to convince people to do the things that they should be doing anyway according to both God’s law and American law.
And nobody forms mobs or breaks into any government buildings in order to do it. Peaceful protest.
