I’m gonna create a thread to silence the “Tua has a weak arm” narrative.

Here we go, starting off slow. Short pass this time but rolling to his right, pressure in his face, and he whips one outside the numbers.

2nd start as QB1 and one of his first throws is an 11 yard back shoulder dart outside the numbers.

Rolling to his right and throws and absolute DART.

COME ON NOW! This is one of his best throws to show off his arm strength. On the move on the left hash, throws across his body to the right outside the numbers. Ridiculous.

3rd and long and he throws a rocket for the 1st down. BIG throw.

This throw is an absolute HEATER. Arm looks pretty impressive here.

Another DART outside the numbers.

Rolls right and decides to throw an absolute MISSLE at Gesicki.

A 10 yard out is said to be one of the biggest throws to test arm strength. Tua rips one and has it on a LINE here.

This play is just too good to not include. Has a split second to throw it and he rips it 30 yards in the air.

Tua often threw up the seam, he loves that throw and here throws a dart between defenders.

Short slant here but the velocity is more than enough for this throw which he proves he has.

Up the seam again. RIPS one to Gesicki between defenders.

Outside the numbers again, throws into the zone on the money.

Fires a ROCKET across the middle of the field to Gesicki. This is a great throw.

One of his first throws against the Chiefs is a great one. Look at the zip on this one to get it through the zone.

Another 30 yard DART into the middle of the field.

In the cold and thick wind of Buffalo Tua still showed off his arm velocity at times.

I’m not gonna sit here and act like Tua has some cannon for an arm and is on the same level as Mahomes, but he definitely throws with enough velocity to be successful in the NFL and this thread shows that. Here’s a look at Tua’s velocity compared to others. About same as Watson.
