It has been said that hiragana sounds effects are in lowercase. Here we see that they can look fabulous in both upper and lower!
The original sound effects take up a lot of real estate on the page, so the translation is small, but captures the varied cadence of the original. If you look closely at the white outlines, you can see that the English sound effects mimic the transparency effect of the Japanese.
This cheering has life and energy behind it! That "WOOO" in the third image is superb.
These sound effects are dense, not leaving much space for subtitling. The English versions are smartly places so they don't obstruct the action. That placement allows them to be large enough to be legible, retain the style of the originals, and emanate from their sources.

I'm a sucker for block sound effects using rough edges. The combination of a hard, heavy form and the rattling of the edges are an effective method of showing impact.
Adaptive work is so cool. An artist imbues their art work specific feelings, and it's beautiful to see love and care go into helping make their ideas made accessible to others.
The dialogue and narration in the collection are also great! CC Ask For Mercy is shockingly versatile with how it fits with each of the varied art styles in the anthology. CC Victory Speech and Tight Spot BB complement it well in their specific uses.
