It's not just a matter of identifying flawed or incorrect arguments, the 1776 Report has a fundamentally different understanding of the purpose of studying history than do virtually all working historians
Lots of people (and not just conservatives) want a coherent and heroic national story to employ for political purposes, but that's not the job of historians
Politicians often use potted versions of history (liberals and leftists have their versions too, it's not just a conservative thing) to tell a story about who we are, where we have been, and where we are going
This is not to "all sides" the issue because the conservative story being told right now requires a break with documentation and solid interpretive practice that is especially egregious
But there's just no way that historians are going to like this thing, it's engaging in a different project than we are and calling it by the same name, and the content has dangerous implications for people living today
