🧵 "Can I get feedback about my portfolio?" is a pretty common question I get from strangers.

While I don't mind giving quick, candid feedback, it is a rather daunting question.

Imagine going to a mechanic and simply asking "Can you fix my car?"...
The mechanic will work with you to identify specific problems with your car before starting any work. You may even find yourself needing an auto body shop instead.

If you are looking for feedback, consider being more detailed when asking. Are you looking for feedback about...
• First impressions?
• A specific page or section of content?
• Is it a case study? Specific section in a case study?
• Resume review? What specifically are you looking for? Summary of XP? Overall work XP? Layout?

Be as specific as possible.
Reviewing a site takes a lot of time, so please consider this the next time you are reaching out to someone. I suggest asking about one specific area you would like feedback on. Offering to buy a virtual coffee doesn't hurt either 😉
