Ammo Rant: Things aren’t going to get better. Biden won and the Dems hold all power and that would have sent people flying to the store to get ammo in and of itself. But you have so many more factors than the usual historical shift of power to an anti-gun rights party.
People want to blame new gun owners who didn’t own guns before 2020 for the ammo shortage. Or Covid. Or violent riots that were allowed to rage out of control for months and months. All of these are factors yes.
But it’s your fault... yes you.

Do you know how much ammunition the average gun owner keeps on hand? A box.... one box. That’s it. Almost every study ever done about ammunition usage / buying ever done shows over 80% of people who own a firearm have 1 box or less in their possession at any given time.
If you know who I am you know I’ve been banging the drum of buying guns & AMMO my entire time in here. It’s my mission statement of my religion and the gospel I’ve spread. It’s literally the only faith I hold.

A 1000 rounds per caliber is a MINIMUM and honestly it should be 1000 per firearm. If you weren’t sitting on 5000 rounds before 2020 I don’t want to hear you bitching. You should have known better. It’s not like people were telling you so.
You know how cheap ammo was under Trump? Manufacturers were offering free shipping on ammo they were selling AT COST!!! Bulk ammo was so cheap I could pick from a dozen suppliers where were all trying to all undercut each other.
Yes I understand ammo is expensive even when it’s cheap. I know it’s an expense you want to hold back on and spend somewhere else when the times are good. But how’s that working out now?
If people who owned guns had been buying ammo at a steady pace and building up their own person supply we would not be seeing it as bad as it is now. This was a self inflicted wound. Gun owners who didn’t buy when supplies were plentiful are now competing with new owners.
The reason old fables are old is human nature doesn’t change. You should have payed attention and learned from those cartoons we watched as a kid....
