Jets most want to play a skilled possession game based on their draft history. Yet he have a coaching staff that constantly blocks youth and has systems to try to slow the game down. Worse he seems to want the game played along the boards. So who's at fault here? Short answer...

Coach for his lineup and play style decisions. GM for allowing the coach to do this an enabling him with old vets and ownership for allowing this mess to occur. So how do you fix this?

Jets will likely have to clean house. Coaching staff and management. But the single biggest thing ownership can do to prevent this in the future...
Find a capable president of hockey ops to run the team and leave him alone to do it. Put your trust in a process and back off.

Jets still have great young pieces and could return to contender status but it will mean some hard decisions. Stop spinning the franchise's tires. The GM and coach as clearly as odds. It's time to clean house and make everyone accountable including the man writing the cheques.
