Do you wonder why every night you're always disappointed that you didn't achieve your goals for the day?

The answer is quite simple - discipline

A lot of times, we're always pumped and motivated to do something worthwhile but motivation is never permanent.
Discipline is what brings result not motivation because the former can be cultivated.
If you look at successful people, most of them have principles of living. They plan their lives too.
That doesn't mean unsuccessful don't plan but discipline is what sets them apart.

You might think discipline is adhering to principles; it is. but discipline for success is being able to work, to go on, to strive even on your off days, when you're least motivated.
I'll take a practical and general example of what happens to students.
If a student is in a class and he doesn't understand what the lecture, it disrupts his state of mind but then he remembers that he can still get someone to explain it to him after the class
that's hope that brings motivation; but then after the class, he becomes forgets about the course that was hard to comprehend and he continues with life till the next class when he remembers that he didn't understand the previous lecture. The cycle goes on and on
till 2 weeks to the semester exams and then the workload will be much.

Meanwhile a disciplined student that didn't understand the first lecture would (after the class,) spend a good amount of time watching YouTube for tutorials but the indisciplined one
started watching YT for tutorials a day to the exam. That's the difference. Discipline.
Both of them had off-days when they felt bad about not understanding the lecture but the disciplined student didn't relax.
Most of us are indisciplined that's one of the reasons why we can't achieve our goals.
