It's been just over 2 months since @GovWhitmer launched the Pause to Save Lives. Let's look at how things are going. Thread:
On November 15, when the Pause was announced, Michigan had 734 cases per million. Two months later, we're at 177 cases/million. https://www.mistartmap.info/
The week pause was announced , Michigan was 6th in the nation for cases according to the CDC's COVID Data Tracker.

Now Michigan is 44th.
While this is hard to estimate, the rate of disease spread also appears to be low, among the 10 lowest in the nation according to http://Rt.live  today.
The share of hospital beds filled with COVID patients is down from a peak near 20% to around 10%.
Michigan's daily reported deaths peaked at 125 per day, below projections. Now we're averaging 75/day and falling. We just reported 10 deaths per day over two days, the lowest totals in three months. This decline is more painful, slower, and bumpier than others--but it is real.
Hundreds of Michiganders are alive because the state has brought COVID under control. Was the Pause the Cause? Find another state with similar results but not similar action. #Pausetosavelives /end
