🧠 TOP #FPL BARGAINS FOR THE 2ND HALF 🧠

15 FPL steals to help power you up the ranks over the back half of the season. I'm looking at those 6.5m and under (sorry Jack) and I've ranked them ÂŁ for ÂŁ, factoring in position scarcity (there's lots of good cheap defs).

OK let's go!
15. Bogle - 4.3m

We start off in somewhat punty territory, as Bogle was just supposed to be keeping Baldock's RWB place warm, but he's looked so good lately that there has to be a chance he keeps the shirt? At the very least he's one to watch as he somehow manages to look...
.. a goal threat as an understudy in a team that hardly ever scores.

14. Fabio Silva - 5.2m

He only has two goals in the league so far but that's 2 more than Rhian - oops there goes ÂŁ24m - Brewster and he looks like he's going to be a very good player sooner or later. While...
.. Jimenez remains sidelined, and I'd be amazed if they rush him back in the circumstances, he's a decent option if you have the budget for an upgrade at the 3rd fwd spot in a 3-5-2 (holy qualifiers Batman!).

13. Shaw - 4.8m

Despite the arrival of Telles in his position, Shaw..
.. is having probably his best season for United and helped keep Salah incredibly quiet this week. His attacking numbers have improved too - 5th best xGI among defs last 6. Very nice fixtures until GW25.

12. Holding - 4.5m

A regular in an improved Arsenal side (5th best xGC...
.. last 6 matches), and is one of their main targets on corners. Might even get you the jammiest of assists once in a while (thanks Tierney!).

11. Lookman - 5.0m

It's not often you get a player in FPL who looks this good when he plays for just 5m. His assist for Cavaleiro to...
.. wipe my Lloris FH cleansheet was a moment of the highest quality and he has some goal threat too. One of those accidental gifts from FPL Towers thanks to Fulham's change of style and personnel, and his own continued improvement.

10. Gundogan - 5.5m

After a slow start to...
.. the season due to covid, Gundo is now playing an important role for City as they hit ominous form. In the ongoing absence of Aguero they need goals and Gundo can finish. Template is --> 2 City defs + KDB, but if you want to take a different tack then Gundo is a good option.
9. Foden - 6.3m

Similar case to Gundo except that he carries more 'teamsheet risk'. So explosive when he plays though, with I believe the highest FPL pts/ minute of any City player and with 14 and 11-pointers in his last 2 starts. As far as I'm concerned he looks one of their...
.. better players almost anytime he plays so I continue to think it's only a matter of time before he starts more regularly in the league.

8. El Ghazi - 5.8m

If he keeps his place and stays on penalties (Grealish is not in any rush to take them so that seems likely), he's...
.. a bargain for a Villa side who are good going forward and have games in hand. He's been excellent since joining the starting lineup a month ago and has 5 goals in Villa's last 6 in the Prem.

7. Justin - 5.0m

The 'rich man's Bogle' some call him! Okay no one calls him that...
.. but it's a similar story, with Justin having been so good in Pereira's absence that it's hard to see how he can be dropped. I think they'll find a place for him as they won't want to stall his development, but the only negative here is that it could become a rotation situation
6. Mitchell - 3.9m

Regained his starting position thanks to being a much better defender than his very attacking rival Van Aanholt. Palace are not great but a starting defender for 3.9m? Obvious choice for 5th defender on WC at the very least, but perhaps more than that with...
.. Palace coming into a good run of fixtures.

5. Antonio - 6.3m

Posted the highest xGI of any player not named Mo Salah over the 2nd half of last season, and when he's been healthy in 20/21 he's looked a pretty similar threat, even if the numbers haven't been quite as amazing.
West Ham are a different, better team when he's available as the fulcrum (they know that, packing Haller’s bags for him as soon as Ajax made a half-decent bid) so whenever he's fit he should be a major consideration for your team at his bargain price

4. Soucek - 5.3m

This one..
.. is as obvious and well-known as they come by now, but Tomas remains an outstanding option given his elite aerial prowess combined with an eye for goal. Moyes could see this and having said in December that he needed to get him in the box more, he was true to his word and...
.. Soucek's underlying numbers have risen markedly since, to further boost the case here. One of the FPL gems of the 20/21 season.

3. Stones - 5.1m

Already looked a great bargain, having nailed down a starting point thanks to his incredible CB partnership with Dias (conceding..
.. only 1 goal in their last 9 when starting together). Then he comes out of nowhere at the other end to score his 1st 2 goals for City, a la England vs Panama 2018. A little fluky obviously but he is a target at corners. Another who should be in almost every WC at this point.
2. Smith-Rowe - 4.5m

Has emerged as the starting number 10, the primary creative force and one of the keys to Arsenal's renaissance (4th best team xG last 6). Has started the last 5, has 4 assists and 27 pts in that time and has played so well that it’s hard to see Arteta...
.. leaving him out much the rest of the way. Just absolute daylight robbery at 4.5m - the perfect 5th mid.

DRUMROLL PLEASE đŸ„

1. Saka - 5.3m

If you're able to stretch another 0.8m then there might be an even greater bargain for your squad in the form of Bukayo Saka.
Saka packs added goal threat beyond ESR and has been looking and performing like a premium player anytime he's been at RW over the last month or so, a position that I think is now his. With 3 goals, 2 assists and 39 points in his last 5 games - the young master is going to be...
appearing on Arsenal and England teamsheets for many years to come. For me he’s currently the greatest bargain in FPL at this point in time, with realistic double-digit upside anytime he starts in the attack. I’d expect him to cost 8m+ next season, so snap him up while you can!
Okay that's yer lot! Hope you enjoyed these bargain bucket diamonds. If you combine your faves from the list with some of the more expensive elite players (Mo, KDB, Son, Robbo, Bruno, Kane, Chilwell, Grealish etc) then you should see green arrows galore.

RTs appreciated!
