In very simple terms, scheduling is planning out your day hour by hour (or 30 min intervals, whatever works for you).
This brings 2 HUGE benefits from my experience

1. You don't have to THINK, you just have to DO.
I sometimes procrastinate because I am trying to think of what could be the best thing to do. Or I will get lost down YouTube rabbit hole, because I haven't decided what to work on yet
With this, you know exactly what to do

2. When you're on "relaxing" part of schedule, don't have to feel bad
If you have time scheduled 5pm-8pm to relax, you don't have to worry about doing something, and can really detach from your work.

There are a couple things to keep in mind when scheduling however:
- don't overestimate what you can do
- make sure to add time to relax, you can't work all day
- make time for breaks throughout the day

I like to have "times of focus" so for 1-2 hour lengths, for hard focused work.
This works for me, it might not for you, but it is worth a shot!
Do you use scheduling? Do you have any other suggestions?
